The Manor Apartment Hotel

Stayed here for 7 days this month, was upgraded on arrival so this made our day, rooms are very spacious, we loved the unit we stayed in for the view straight down Queen street. Quiet location even with the street view. Reasonable beds, could be softer, but have stayed in far harder, high pressure shower is the best, fridge was smelly probably from whatever last people had in it. Great to have own laundry. Everything was clean & some what lived in. Would defiantly stay here again ( In street view rooms) felt very safe & within walking distance to so many shops, buses or trains or uber to the door. There is a complimentary breakfast included, which while a great idea the three mornings that we ate it the food was cold regardless of what time we went, but there was plenty of choice & friendly staff that made us our tea or coffee as the pod machine made terrible coffee.

Great location, but you need better kitchen equipment, for example, switch on the exhaust automatically as soon as the stove is switched on. Please change your AC controls, it's modern but it's too confusing to use. Also, I was moved to another room and did not get cleaning service for 3 days. Other than that, great rooms and perfect location.

Excellent location. Next door to G.P.O. One block away from the Queen Street Mall and directly opposite from Post Office and Anzac Square and Central Railway Station. You can't beat it for the location. Very Good quality furnishings and for a 1 bedroom apartment quite spacious. It wasn't indicated upon check-in that apartments are serviced every second day so be aware of this. Slight concern about a pretty noticeable bug that had been squashed on the front door and by day two it hadn't been cleaned. I reported it to reception and upon my return it had been cleaned. Unsure as to how often maintenance check the rooms, but found a double power point inoperable with phone run down and missing an alarm and light unusable. Again, when this was brought to the attention of reception, they had it fixed, but I think these things need to be looked at on a regular basis prior to a guests arrival. Nice touch with the box of chocolates as a welcome gift :0. The supervisor in the breakfast room was just a delight with a warm, genuine greeting and personable service with an offer of a pot of English Breakfast Tea each morning without asking. Hats off to you m'lady,! I know Brisbane very well and have stayed at five star hotels all the way down to three star hotels and for a longer stay of 3 nights or more and for those wanting more space and more of a homily feel, I would be more than happy to recommend the Manor Apartments and believe with it's history and it's quality of furnishings it more than lives up to it's four star rating.
